Very cute but time consuming!!

This is my first stocking, I’m working on it now for my daughter. It’s quite involved but will be worth it, it is so cute! The felt is thick but I want it to last for years and years so I’m going to sew it onto a fabric stocking I will make using the back as a pattern. I don’t think the felt would hold up to many years of Santa leaving lots of goodies in it. Still, very happy with my purchase, I would recommend this kit to anyone up to a sewing challenge.

Sugar Plum Fairy Stocking

I made this stocking for my granddaughter, Ava for her first Christmas. I have made nine Bucilla Christmas stockings and this one took more time that the rest but was well worth it. It is perfect for a little girl.

Will never do another one

I have made many, many stockings and this one was the worst. The face is small and needs to be pre printed so that no embroidery is necessary on it. Very hard to get the mouth right. I will never make another one of these.
I have always been very good at embroidery but this was difficult.
I was so sick of it by the time I got it finished it wasn’t even pretty. Hope you have better luck with it than I had.

An asset — one drawback

This is a good little tool and does what it says. It causes the top material to feed at the same time the bottom piece is feeding in, resulting in more accurage placements of the materials. The drawback is that it does not work in reverse. So, it is just right — a real asset. However, when you get to the end of your stitching, you can’t do a reverse stitch to lock it in. In any event, it is well made, easy to install, built so that you can see where your stitches are being placed and I would certainly want one in my sewing machine’s tool kit.

Walking foot

Works like a charm!

I’m very pleased with this walking foot. I can even backstitch with it, and it chugs right along at high speeds. I am new to quilting and had not used a walking foot before — glad I found this deal on Amazon.
